Overview

Our involvement in the Suburban Underground Power Program (SUPP) encompassed fibre network maintenance & installation, underground migration of power networks and support services.

The project scope included pit & pipe optic fibre installations, pole to pillar services and migration of overhead power networks to an underground environment, across Western Australia.

Outcome

Migration to an underground environment was completed successfully, on budget and to schedule. The project team and all our external suppliers have showed immense resilience and a commitment to the ethos of Mateship, which is a core value at Genus.

This commitment ensured the on-time delivery of a key infrastructure project in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. With severe shortages in the labour market and considerable supply chain constraints this achievement cannot be overstated.
